Green Tomb

Located in the Yesil Complex that gives its name to the district in Bursa, Yesil Turbe was commissioned in 1421 by Celebi Mehmed, son of Sultan Yildirim Bayezid. Designed by architect Haci Ivaz Pasha, it is the only Ottoman tomb fully covered in tiles, making it a masterpiece of architecture and craftsmanship.

In 2009, Iznik Mavi Cini, in collaboration with Anikya, restored 85 m² of tile borders, prayer panels, and mosaics using the colored glaze technique of early Ottoman ceramics with red clay bodies, under the supervision of Istanbul Technical University.
